Princess Knight is a very old shoujo manga series from the 50s with a proto feminist story; the main heroine Sapphire was raised as a prince because of a sexist law from her kingdom, despite being an adventurous tomboy and a highly skilled swordsfighter, Sapphire still acts like a classic princess who is also a hopeless romantic.
Despite that, the story still has some outdated plot points since Sapphire is only able to do "manly" things because she has both male and female hearts...

Tink AKA a mischievous little angel who is the reason why Sapphire is the way she is(yes, really)
Franz; Sapphire's prince charming.
Hecate; the tomboyish daughter of Madame Hell with a mischievous streak who happens to have a heart of gold.
